SNOW! I wasnt ready for this....not sure what I was thinking since we are in MI and it is December. Taking Mikah to school, I felt so nervous! Yes I've lived here all my life and have driven in snow so many times but I felt like I had to relearn it all over again. LOL Of course now we have to leave a little earlier so we have time to get all our winter gear on and take our time on the slippery roads. The kids as usual are thrilled to death and so anxious to get out and play in the snow! My goal is to post some new pics tonight....but for now I have to go pick the boys up from Boys and Girls Club....be back soon!

The season of thankfulness

Wow this year like so many before it has gone by so quickly! I remember thinking time to so long to get to turning 16 or turning 21 and then once I had kids its like time picked up speed and I see my life speeding by with me just trying to hang on! My kids are growing up so fast and though it can be stressful at times, I know I will miss these days where they actually like to be home and play with Mom. In a few years I'll be begging them to spend time with me so I'm trying to enjoy it now :) I am so jealous of all those faithful bloggers who keep us with their blogs and I would love to do that but I just dont see how they fit in time to be that faithful. I do know that its a great way to make a memory of things so I'm really trying to get better at it. Lately, I see everyone saying what things they are thankful at this time of year and I have to wonder why do we save all of our thanksgiving for this one season while the rest of the year we complain and are well lets face it, a lot of times ungrateful for what we are blessed to have. This year has been tough economically for us like it has been for so many others, but yet I'm constantly reminded how truly blessed we are and how precious life really is! My Grandpa Gras passed away a few weeks ago. He lived a long full life of 94 years and I'm so thankful that he is enjoying his retirement with Jesus. It really made me think about what kind of legacy I want to leave for my children and grandchildren. My Grandpa loved everyone and never said an unkind word. He was a man of integrity and love. He was truly Christ-like and I am thankful for the example he was to his children and grandchildren. I'm thankful for the time I shared with him and am more grateful for the example he left for us to follow!

Makes me sad that my lil guy is already three years old....it went so fast!!! Almost makes me want to have another baby....almost :) Levi is so much like John its crazy! Probably the most like him out of all our kids. He is a musician at heart just like his daddy and can already follow a beat when he's on the drums. We are making good progress on the pottytraining but not all the way there! I havent pushed him as much as I did the other kids because he's my last baby :( I love my lil man so much!!!!

We have been blessed beyond measure this month!!!!! We got a great new house that we are so happy with, Johns job is going great and our marriage and family life has come so far this year! We have gained a new family at church and couldnt ask for greater people to care about us and share this journey with us! God is faithful to His own! We've gone through the Dave Ramsey program earlier this year and let me tell you, if you want to see a breakthrough in your finances...........TITHE FAITHFULLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We really started tithing how we were supposed to and the blessings have come pouring in! We've learned to live off the blessing and not the paycheck. Totally relying on God for provision rather than our jobs! It works! Just wanted to share that.....I have some catch up to do with pictures and stuff from Tyrese's bday party and such but I'll have to do that tomorrow!!!! Good night bloggers!

So we are moving this weekend. Its been a really stressful week but we are halfway there! I cant wait to have all my stuff moved and unpacked. Maybe if I wiggle my nose like on Bewitched it'll all be done for me :) Ahh wishful thinking. Seriously, I dont know how you did it Katie (my cousin) with three kids and nine months preggo! You are wonder woman in my book! I am so sick and tired of Lilly and Levi unpacking boxes that I've already packed. They think its hilarious too so its hard to get mad. They are a bundle of giggles as soon as I come in the room and see what they did. Let me tell you though its getting old very quickly. Between church stuff and finishing some things at the new house, John is exhausted every night. He comes home from work, grabs a bite to eat and heads off to church or the new house.....kinda sick of feeling like a single mom but it will all be worth it in the end....which is hopefully this weekend! I need to get the kids fall pics done next Saturday too so I need to come up with some outfits..... so much to do so little time! Hopefully my next post will be of my unpacked house!!!

I really dont know how my Grandma did it raising seven, yes seven boys! I am havin' a hard time keeping up with three! We have school pictures this Friday and of course Mikah has a big bump smack in the middle of his forehead and Tyrese has a black eye! I guess we'll end up doing the retake day most likely! Levi is so much like his daddy. He loves the drums so much that he sleeps with the drumsticks that he got from our friend Jimmy. And everytime John is recording Levi pushes his way in and tries to do his own music....its really cute!

Moving!!!!

So yes we are moving again....but this time we are finally gonna be buying again so its a long term move :) So our official move date is the 10th of October. I am going nuts trying to pack and dejunk. I am getting rid of tons of kids clothes and baby stuff because I believe we are done in the baby department. We have Tyrese's 6th birthday party coming up in the next couple weeks too so lots going on! Here's a few pics of the new house!

The other day John decided to disobey me and cut my baby's curls off. Levi is officially looking like a lil man instead of a baby and I dont like it one bit!!! So summer has basically come and gone and I never even realized it! I cant believe we are going back to school shopping and enrollment stuff. I also cant believe Mikah is gonna be in first grade and my Lilly will go to three school. Where has the time gone? I dont know what I will do with myself having one child home for half the day! Well I guess I will have to post some updated pics of the kids from these past few weeks but I will have to do it later because I cant do it here (from work).

Terrible Two's

Levi has definitly hit the Terrible Two's. I guess they arent so terrible just exhausting for mom. He is into everything and too smart for his own good. Daddy had to go out and buy some different locks for our doors since he has learned to open every lock in the house. So this is what we awake to Saturday morning.....Levi with a bucket of chicken. Apparently he didnt get the memo about sleeping in on Sat. mornings and was eager to get his own breakfast. Isnt he just too cute though!

We adopted a new doggy who is one years old. Her name is Daisy and we love her! Even Daddy loves her alot....he cant wait to take her for a walk when he gets home from work!

Tulip Time 09

All ready Tulip Time! This year has gone fast! We have been so busy with John starting a new job and working on our house so we havent gotten downtown as much as we'd have liked. Mikah was in the parade for the first time this year so from here on out I guess I'll be going to the kinderparades. So we went to watch Mikah in the parade on Thursday. Lilly, Levi and I went with Barbie Louks and her four kiddos cuz the hubbys were at work.

Sometimes as parents we get so caught up in the daily grind that we fail to stop and realize how blessed we are!!! Though we are sometimes stressed out and stretched to our limits, when you stop and look at those little faces that look to you with such love and admiration no matter what you do, you cant help but stop and thank God for entrusting these little lives to your hands. Dont ever get discouraged because God gave those children to you and not another for a reason....He knows its a big job so He must know that you are fully capable of doing it well!!!!

Well I think we can finally start counting on some nice weather of course in Michigan you never know! Last week we had a day of 70 degree weather and the next day it snowed! Go figure! God is doing amazing things in our lives and we cant praise Him enough for all of the blessings he's given us so far this year. We are planning to go down to Arkansas soon to visit Johns dad and stepmom and the kids are so excited to go see "paw paw". John has been working on the yard with my dad making a garden. He also made me a flower bed with a concrete wall around it!! I'm gonna put some lillies in there! Here's a pic of the garden so far!

My baby boy and our last baby ( pretty sure at least) but you never know what God has in store so we'll see. Levi has been so far advanced from the beginning. He never seemed to want to be a baby walking at 8 1/2 months and talking far past others in his age group. He is our little drummer man and is probably the most like Daddy at least in the musical area!! He loves monkeys and the shushybyes!!! He turned 2 in March so I guess its time to get rid of the paci!!! This outta be fun!

Our only girl and boy is she a girl!! You would think with all these brothers she might be a tomboy......nope!!!!! I'm thankful she's a girly girl and definitly has mommy's love for shopping....Daddy says "oh great" LOL. Dont get me wrong...she can hang in there with the boys and holds her own pretty well. She is in love with Disney Princesses and Caillou and cant wait to go to preschool this fall.

Tyrese is becoming quite the young man himself. Between him and Mikah we may be eaten out of house and home real soon! He likes to play outside alot and this year goes to Glerum Elementary. Next year hopefully we can place him at Vanderbilt with Mikah!

Can you believe this boy is 6 already! I can't. Time sure flies! He is doing so well this year at VanderBilt Charter Academy. He loves school and is reading already at the next grade level....wonder where he gets that from! :) He's definitly a class clown with a contagious personality. We are so proud of him!
